Days 84 - 100

The editors of The Daily apologize for the lapse in Benjamin coverage over the last two and a half weeks. Ben is becoming "more like a person and less like a fetus," to quote his doctor. And while this is fun and exciting for Mom and Dad, it also means that the daily caring for him has become much more involved for Mom. He no longer naps through most of the day and requires a lot of attention! Add that to Mom's attempt at getting back into work and Dad doing a lot of overtime, and you've got a very exhausted Mommy.

So here we are at day 100. Seems like a nice, round number to get back into the swing of The Daily. Enjoy this little summary of the last 16 days...

Day 84: A little photo shoot in the crib...

Day 86: Ben does some light reading about shapes... And by "reading" I mean "chewed on a book."

Day 87: The feet are becoming more involved in play time, as Ben seems to be discovering that they are a part of his body.

Day 89: Dad's birthday! Ben helped celebrate Dad's 38th year and was quite a hit at the party... well at least for the first hour of the party before bedtime.

Day 90: Thirteen Weeks!

He just keeps getting more adorable, if that's even possible.

Day 91: Ben is finally big enough to sit in this rain forest themed activity bouncy chair! He really enjoys being able to "stand" on his own.

Day 92: After another check-up at the doctor's office, Ben and Mom met up with Grandpa to have lunch downtown.

Day 93: A new toy! Ben is rockin' it in his Johnny Jump-Up!

On Day 93 he also rolled over on his side for the first time! It's as though he heard the doctor say on Monday, "Has he rolled over yet?" And decided that it was time to try.

Day 97: Fourteen Weeks!

Ben went with Mom to her friend, Alison's baby shower. Four of the 9 girls there were pregnant with their first babies, and all marveled at how well-behaved Ben was. They all wished for wonderful babies like him.

 Day 100: Benjamin would much rather be sitting up than laying down these days. Mom is on the look-out for a Bumbo to borrow, but in the meantime has figured out how to set him up in his bathtub with a few toys around.

It's been a fun, tiring, stressful, and totally satisfying couple of weeks. Mom is celebrating 100 of the best days of her life! 

And now, a nap...
