Days 10 & 11

Our editors apologize for the lapse in the Daily yesterday. Ben's 10th day was a little rough, and Mom & Dad were just barely keeping up with meeting his many needs. (They assume his fussiness was attributed to his recovery from Monday's procedure.)

Ben did have a short visit from his Grandma, Mom's cousin Margie and her 2-year-old twins, Emelia and Jordan. This whirlwind visit was not unlike a small circus invading the living room, with constant distractions from conversation by tiny hands grabbing anything at eye-level and below. (Including, but not limited to, some of Ben's toys, the basket of cat toys, the collection of antique cameras, the cat, the diaper champ, remote controls, etc.) This brief experience made Mom very aware of the many changes that would have to be made by the time Ben is up and walking around.

Yesterday Dad took care of the paper work for the birth certificate, and Ben is now on his way to becoming a real person! (According to the United States.) Social security number will be coming soon.

Day 11 was much better for the whole Wolf family. Everyone was in much better spirits and a few more visitors made appearances. Aunt Kay and Great Grandma Wolf stopped by for a bit! Benjamin had his name officially approved by Great Grandma, and all were impressed with his sweet demeanor.

In the evening, Mom's friend Brett came by with a delicious crab and corn chowder for dinner. Then Dad's cousin Matt and his wife Jackie stopped in to stare at Ben as well. (He really is quite the social butterfly.)
