Sunday was a gorgeous fluke of weather; nearly 70 degrees and partly sunny! Everyone decided it would be a perfect day to go for a stroll around Hyde Park square and get a taste of Graeter's ice cream. (Although Ben didn't have any himself at the time, he inadvertently may have had a taste of the pumpkin pie ice cream a few hours later...)
Ben also watched his first pro football game on TV, even though the Bengals game was not broadcast, he seemed to enjoy the fierce sound system while the Baltimore Ravens trampled the Raiders. (Sorry, Carson.)
The Blazer family stopped by for a bit and Ben got to meet his future babysitter, Ester. (Who is only 7 now, but in just a few short years... Mom and Dad hope their good friends are still living only 4 blocks away by then!)
For dinner, Grandma and Grandpa Adkins brought over some shrimp creole on rice and apple pie for dessert. The four grandparents had a great time catching up and, of course, staring at and cuddling Ben.
